The iconic entrepreneurial reality programme “Shark Tank” returns to India for its second season on January 2. The show’s makers revealed on social media that stand-up comedian Rahul Dua will replace Rannvijay Singha, who presented the first season.
Fans have had various reactions to the revelation, with some expressing displeasure and questioning the show’s genuineness. Amit Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com, will replace Ashneer Grover on the show’s panel of judges, in addition to a new host.
The first episode of “Shark Tank India 2” will feature Hoovu Fresh, a flower company launched in Bengaluru by female entrepreneurs Yeshoda and Rhea Karuturi. The episode’s advertisement depicts the entrepreneurs presenting their creative ideas for advertising their conventional floral company, such as a way for increasing the shelf life of flowers from two to fifteen days.
Shark Tank India is a remake of the iconic American television show “Shark Tank,” in which entrepreneurs present their company ideas to a panel of investors known as “sharks.” The show, which debuted in 2009, was a popular with audiences and aided in the establishment of numerous successful enterprises.
