There are way too many Gen 8 Pokémon in Pokémon Unite. It may delay for revealing new upcoming game Gen 8.
And it’s about to get worse. When Unite debuted in 2021, the overabundance of Pokémon from the Sword & Shield generation may have made sense. But as the first year of Gen 9 progresses, the lack of new Pokémon is becoming more and more obvious. Additionally, some generations continue to be glaringly underrepresented. And the issue only worsens with each new addition.
There are 15 Kanto Pokémon, five Johto Pokémon, three Hoenn Pokémon, four Sinnoh Pokémon, only two Unova Pokémon, and seven each from Kalos, Alola, and Galar. According to Unite leaker ElChicoEevee, Zacian will be the next Pokémon after Comfey. It increasing Galar’s Pokémon count to eight and making it the second most-represented generation after the ever-popular original.
Galar had three Pokémon at the start: Cinderace, Cramorant, and Eldegoss. It put Gen 8 ahead of every generation (except Kanto). It maintains that the lead for the majority of the first year. Due to the early release of Greedent, merely falling behind during Kalos’ impressive run of Trevenant, Aegislash, and Hoopa.
The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studios collaborated to create Pokémon Unite. A 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) (Tencent Games). The MOBA is a cross-platform game for mobile devices as well as the Nintendo Switch.
