Once a fighter always a fighter
A famous Brazilian former footballer Edson Arantes do Nascimento known as Pelè. He is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He rose to international fame aged just 17 when he scored six goals for Brazil in the 1958 World Cup, including two in the final in which Brazil beat the hosts, Sweden, to win their first world title.
Pelè was taken to hospital in Sao Paolo to evaluate his cancer treatment after he had a tumour removed from his colon in September 2021. Folha de S.Paulo reported that chemotherapy had been suspended and that Pele was under palliative care, and being treated only for symptoms such as pain and shortness of breathe.
Yesterday, the king of football shared his health update on Instagram and gave his fans some insights about his health. He shared “I want to keep everyone calm and positive” and the gratitude follows other words giving his life update with a medical report from the hospital he is admitted in.
Earlier, the hospital said that Pelè was in a stable condition after he has been hospitalised this week as he has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer. As we all know that one of the treatments of the Cancer is Chemotherapy. Pelè is now receiving palliative care after he stopped responding to Chemotherapy treatment for the Cancer.
The good news is that he has responded well to treatment for a respiratory infection and his condition has not worsened in the last 24 hours, this has been shared by the official medical staff of the hospital in which he is admitted. As the king of football did not respond well to Chemotherapy it has been suspended from his treatment and now he is only receiving end-of-life care, being treated only for symptoms such as pain and shortness of breath.
As this shows that the king of football is a real fighter and will fight every battle bravely no matter will it be on field or off field.
