Famous playback singer, and music composer Bhavatharini Raaja, passes away fighting her battle against cancer, at the age of 47. She was undergoing her treatment and was in Sri Lanka at the time of her death.

Cause of untimely death of Bhavatharini
As per reports, Bhavatharini was battling stage four stomach cancer. At the time of her death, she was in Colombo, Sri Lanka with her husband, and was undergoing Ayurvedic therapy for five months but her health did not improve and sadly she left for her heavenly abode. People are calling it an untimely death because she was only 47.
Bhavatharini- Daughter of a legendary musician
She was the daughter of the music maestro Ilaiyaraaja.
Ilaiyaraaja is a veteran musician, music composer, lyricist, music instrumentalist, singer, and film producer. He has significantly contributed to the Indian Cinema, particularly in the Tamil Film Industry. He is often called “Maestro” and is nicknamed “Isaignani” (the musical sage) as he is one of the most eminent composers in the industry who has composed over 7,000 songs.
Being in a household full of talented musicians, Bhavatharini started singing under the guidance of her father and her brothers, Kartik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. She sang most of her songs under the direction given by her father and her brothers.
Top works of the National Awardee
This humble singer was awarded the National Film Award for ‘Best Female Playback Singer’ in the year 2000 when she was very young. Her song ‘Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu’ composed by her father, from the film Bharathi, helped her to bag this prestigious award.
Bhavatharini made her debut as a singer for the film Raasaiya, starring Prabhu Deva and Roja. Her work gathered a huge response and was a major hit.
One of her memorable songs includes, ‘Oliyile Therivathu Thevathaya’ from the 2002 released film, Azhagi.
After being a playback singer for a few years, she tried her hands on becoming a music director just like her father. She was the music director for the film, Mitr, My Friend in the year 2002.
Making her way to the Telugu Film Industry, she then starred in “Avuna.” She turned into a music composer when she composed songs for the film Phir Milenge, starring Salman Khan, Shilpi Shetty, and Abhishek Bachchan, in the year 2004.

She was known for having a soul-stirring voice. Her innocent, deep, and passionate voice was capable of touching the souls of her fans. Her unique voice made it easy to identify and differentiate her songs. She started gathering hearts of people because of her voice since she was very young.
