Tesla has revealed the $300 Wireless Charging Platform, a mat that can be used to simultaneously charge up to three devices.
Each Qi-compatible wireless device such as an iPhone, Android phone, or pair of AirPods can get up to 15W of charging power from the mat. Pre-orders for the mat are already available on Tesla’s website. Deliveries will start in February 2023.
Although a charging pad would appear to be a peripheral Tesla offering. It is likely a part of the company’s bigger product strategy. Which in the past has included items as diverse as tequila and a phone charger. The next Tesla Cybertruck, according to Tesla, served as inspiration for the mat’s design.

What Technology Tesla Is Using?
Only gadgets that are Qi-compatible can be charged utilizing the technology developed by Tesla. Because they need a MagSafe charger or magnetic pad, gadgets like the Apple Watch cannot be charged.
According to The Verge, Tesla has developed a 30-coil wireless charger that it plans to begin distributing in February 2019. The design is entirely Tesla, however, the coils are from FreePower. The business claims that it was “inspired by the metallic aesthetics and angular shape of Cybertruck.” The Qi-compatible pad will cost $300. The gadgets it charges can put it easily on it in any direction.

How Tesla Accomplished What Apple Failed To Achieve?
Apple unveiled AirPower, a wireless charging station that could sync up to three devices at once and charge them all wirelessly. Unfortunately, the project had to be abandoned due to technical difficulties. Tesla has unveiled a Qi-based wireless charging system it terms the Tesla wireless charging infrastructure, which can charge up to three devices simultaneously with up to 15W of electricity each and is inspired by its upcoming Cybertruck.
It’s worth noting that Tesla’s wireless charging base is a premium accessory with an anti-scratch Microfiber coating. Customers have the choice of using the smartphone on a flat surface or at an angle thanks to the inclusion of a detachable magnetic stand.
A 65W adaptor that is part of the package powers the bundled wireless charging pad.
At the time of writing, the Tesla wireless charging system may be pre-ordered for $300, or roughly Rs 25,000, through the Tesla online store. According to the manufacturer, the release date is scheduled for February 2023.
The good news is now that Tesla’s charger isn’t entirely original; Nomad’s Base Station Pro, which uses Aira technology and made somewhat similar claims in the past, has delivered a far slower charge. (In the most recent version of the base station, the business appears to have switched to employing magnets to align your gadgets.)
However, chargers for three or four devices can be purchased for far less than $300 if you’re ready to give up the flexibility of putting your smartphone anywhere. Even small cuts are provided by this Mophie charger. Which should eliminate any uncertainty about where to position your device for optimum charging.
