Magical Bowling

All about Batting
Shreyas Iyer, who scored 128 off of 94 balls, was named “Player of the Match.” In their last group-stage match against the Netherlands, the World Cup hosts, already guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals, hammered the Netherlands 410-4 from 50 overs, with hundreds from Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, and brilliant performances from India’s top-order batsmen. In their last World Cup league match against Netherlands, Shubman Gill scored a quick half-century, which helped India get off to another scorching start.
After fifteen overs, India was at 119 all. After reaching exactly 100 for the opening stand with captain Rohit Sharma (60 batting off 48 balls), Gill scored 51 off 32 balls and holed out to deep backward square leg boundary.
Remarkable Achievements
India has already exceeded the 90-run mark (91/0) in the first Powerplay for the third time in the competition. Rohit has already broken AB de Villiers’ previous record of 58 highest points in 2015 to achieve a record 60 sixes in a calendar year, having already scored two sixes in the opening fifteen overs. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma decided to do batting first. Since the Men in Blue haven’t altered their starting lineup, Bengaluru supporters will have the opportunity to celebrate King Kohli’s 50th ODI century.
What’s next? IndvsNed
The team led by Rohit Sharma will attempt to carry over their winning streak into the semi-final encounter as they are the only team left in the competition. In the meantime, Netherlands, who have already qualified for the tournament, will try to upset the two-time world champions in order to have a spectacular final match in the World Cup 2023.
With eight wins from the eight matches played thus far with a net run rate of +2.456, the Men in Blue lead the World Cup points standings. The Netherland, however, are ranked tenth with six points with a net run of -1.635.
The Indian team management may decide to rest a few important players, including captain Virat Kohli, Kl Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and others, before of the semi-final match on November 15. Alternatively, left-hander Ishan Kishan, versatile player Ravichandran Ashwin, or even bowler Prasidh Krishna might be given some playing time by Rohit and company.
With the three departments operating at full capacity, the Indian team has enjoyed every advantage in the competition. Even though Indian openers Rohit Sharma & Shubman Gill have delivered an outstanding start in the play, the middle overs have helped to put a good total on the scoreboard. All of the teams in the tournament have been envious of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami’s bowling pace three. With Sixteen wickets in the four games that have been played so far in the competition, Shami in particular has been outstanding.
