The movie review is great. Everyone loved the movie. Overview rating of movie is 78%. They loved the movie story. A Haunting in Venice is the latest installment in Kenneth Branagh’s studio polished Agatha Christie franchise; an adaptation of her 1969 detective story, Hallowe’en Party, that shifts the action from England to Italy. It’s a supernatural thriller infusing the expected murder mystery with a gothic horror atmosphere so delectable as we move into the holiday season.
All around spooky with candle-lit castles, a séance gone wrong, and tales of mischievous ghost children on All Hallows’ Eve. I went into this movie expecting it to be a good mystery movie. I walked out with something much more.
A beautiful thrilling whodunit story with amazing writing and some of the most beautiful cinematography I’ve ever seen. The visuals in this movie are truly astonishing they’re very simple yet so unfathomably beautiful. This is shown in the first 5 minutes of the movie including my favorite shot of the whole film. This is something that needs to be experienced in theaters for its visuals and sound design alone.
The character writing in this movie is so incredible. Each character is written so well and the main detective is such an enjoyable leading role. Kenneth Branagh does a fantastic job alongside Tina Fey. I haven’t seen murder on the orient express nor Death on the Nile but if they are even close to being as good as this I’ll be happy to watch them.
