On Thursday, one of the passengers on the flight revealed who, in his opinion, was to blame, giving a blow-by-blow account of how the conflict got started.
The video, which was taken by a passenger on the Thai Smile Airways plane, shows the cabin crew and other passengers trying to calm down two standing men as they argue, which eventually escalates into blows and attacks. Alok Kumar, a traveler on this flight, talked about the episode exhaustively in a selective meeting . He claims that the argument started when the passenger in brown was “rude to the next level” when a flight attendant asked him to keep his seat upright, as is standard during many phases of the flight.
Because it was a security concern, two flight attendants tried “pleading” with the man to follow the instructions, but he ignored them. At this point, other passengers joined in and advised the man to follow the directions, one of whom reportedly asked, “Are you traveling for the first time?”
Things quickly escalated after a few passengers from the back of the plane, including the man in gray who can be seen in the video, came to talk to the man in brown.

Mr. Kumar stated that the brown man continued to complain and refuse to follow the rules despite the fact that there were no more exchanges of blows for the remainder of the flight. He was reportedly “rude to others” and took off his seatbelt before the flight landed in Kolkata.
