The Flash star Ezra criticizes media
Ezra Miller, the troubled star of “The Flash,” had a temporary restraining order against him lifted in Massachusetts on Friday. The mother of a 12-year-old non binary child accused Miller of acting improperly. The child’s family was also allegedly harassed by the actor.
Miller posted a message on Instagram saying, “I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood by me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protective order system was halted.”
He identifies as non binary and uses they/them pronouns, has never been prosecuted. Miller claimed in their Instagram statement that the protection order that had been placed against them was being “used as weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services.”
Miller also criticized how the incident was covered by the media. He pleaded on the media to uphold a higher standard and spend the time gathering the facts rather than chasing clicks. “I implore those members of the media who have recklessly spread false claims and failed to accurately report the truth and context of this story,” Miller wrote on Instagram.
