According to ESPNcricinfo, the mini-auction for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League will take place on December 23 in Kochi. As ESPNcricinfo reported on Wednesday, one modification to the rule is that each club would now receive an additional INR 5 crore (about US $607,000) to spend on top of the money still in their franchises’ bank accounts. It is anticipated that the total budget per franchise will increase from Rs 90 crore to Rs 95 crore. By November 15, the date set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, all 10 Indian Premier League clubs must decide which players to maintain and who to release (BCCI).
