Current Situation
Now it has been confirmed that the Jamao Bandi would only be from December 3 to December 17. Under this act, gathering of more than five people is strictly prohibited. These are said to be the routine orders which are followed by the Mumbai Police Department throughout the year. Even on October 25, the same kind of confusion arose as the order copy was leaked and was misinterpreted. This act comes under the Maharashtra Police act issued under section 37.
This act doesn’t have any significant effect on anything. And the police also avoid taking any action unless any gathering opens on to a law and order situation.
