The problem arose when the previous supplier, Nandini Ghee from Karnataka Milk Federation, said they would no longer supply ghee due to a price dispute. During the regime of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a new supplier was selected, offering lower tariffs, making people doubt the quality of the electricity they were supplying. Inquiries are ongoing and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams or TTD has constituted a committee to check ghee quality in the future.
