Miss Universe 2023 was the 72nd Miss Universe pageant, held on 18 November 2023 at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador on 18 November 2023.
Eventually at the end of the event, R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States crowned Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua as Miss Universe 2023,indicating the country’s first win in the pageant’s history.
Contestants from 84 countries and territories competed in this year’s pageant. The competition was conferred by Jeannie Mai and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo for the 2nd consecutive time, along with Maria Menounos. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall also assisted as backstage correspondents for the 2nd consecutive time. John Legend also performed in this year’s pageant.

She also now uses her platform to share messages of encouragement to trans people around the world. She also referred to her victory as a dream come true and said that she hopes to help people change their minds about transgender women. Being a trans woman, she has been through many obstacles along the way. But fortunately, and especially with her family, love proved to be stronger and brave.
The Organization also changed its rules to allow transgender contestants in 2012. Miss Spain Ángela Ponce became the first trans contestant in the competition In 2018.
Eventually, In October 2022, Thai transgender entrepreneur Anne Jakrajutatip purchased the Miss Universe Organization from IMG. Under Jakrajutatip’s ownership, this contest redrafted its rules, allowing mothers, married people and divorcees.
