PSG vs. AC Milan: Warren Zaire-Emery and Kylian Mbappe shine in a significant UCL home victory
PSG regained control of their group for the Champions League by defeating AC Milan 3-0 at home with a goal from Kylian Mbappe.
Warren Zaire-Emery, 17, stole the show against a spirited but disjointed Milan team by dishing out two assists in the triumph. The teen’s talent was too great for the Serie A team to match.
PSG vs. AC Milan
Throughout the ninety minutes of play, Milan showed flashes of brilliance, but they were lacking in both areas. Rafael Leao failed in his numerous attempts to pass through the PSG defense by himself instead of connecting with other strikers throughout the assault, showing a complete lack of team spirit.
On the other side of the pitch, Fikayo Tomori was fouled during the buildup to Mbappe’s opening goal & also was at fault for what looked to be PSG’s second; however, VAR disallowed Ousmane Dembele’s goal shortly before the second half of play.
Randal Kolo Muani & Kang-In Lee eventually ended the game. Mike Maignan, the goalkeeper, gave it everything he had to keep AC Milan in the game, but PSG was just too deadly in the closing seconds.
Milan drops to the bottom of the F group, which is living up to its title as this season’s the “Group of Death,” but PSG’s three points put them at the top and keep them in the running for a position in the knockout stage.
